The Catholic Church accepts cremation but advises that the ashes be treated as a body, so they should be in an urn not scattered or separated. In 1963, the Pope lifted the ban on cremation, and in 1966 allowed Catholic priests to officiate at cremation ceremonies.

I once read this about guardian angels, "think of your guardian angel like a private detective, but they only have one case—you!" I prefer to call them ‘personal’ angels. The Lord has given us that gift as we try to make our journey to heaven. Be an angel, and have a listen!

Today we’ll celebrate the Feast of St Francis of Assisi. It’s a personal favorite. The feast commemorates the life of St Francis, and is the Catholic Church's patron saint of animals and the environment. It is a popular day for pets to be “blessed”. I hope enjoy!
