A Catholic Priest wears a lot of hats. One of my favorites was as a police chaplain in Watsonville, CA. It was a fascinating job. Not unlike what we provide as priests, our brothers and sisters in blue need to be ready to serve and assist.

The Vatican has announced that Catholics are unable to keep the ashes of loved ones in urns at home. The guidelines produced by the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith, stipulate that cremains should be kept in a “sacred place,” most usually a cemetery.
